Dave started bowling at the age of 3 in Farmington Lanes and he also bowled at Rose Garden in Rosemount. His dad took Dave and his brother bowling every Saturday afternoon. Dave joined men’s leagues when he was old enough and he bowled in the Apple Classic. He has gone on to accumulate five (5) Minneapolis City Association Championship Titles, four (4) Minnesota State Association Titles, One Central Bowlers Alliance Title, two (2) Minneapolis Team Titles and two (2) St. Paul Team Challenge Titles. In 2006, Dave won the USBC Open All Events Title by shooting 780 in team, 757 in singles and 652 in doubles totaling 2,189. He became the third Minnesotan to win the prestigious All Events Crown. Dave’s efforts also help the OnTrack / Custom Thumbs A team to a ninth place in team all events with a 9,799 and a

15th place in Regular Team with a 3,331 series. His 757 in singles landed him in 27th place. Additionally, Dave was part of a 4-person team that shot a 1,068 on December 28, 2007 and it is currently third highest in the State of Minnesota. Dave has been on the Minneapolis USBC All City Team – Honorable Mention Team twice, 2002-03 and 2005-06.

 

Dave has 26 – 300’s and 16 – 800’s with a high of 857. This was shot at Southtown Lanes in the Southtown Classic on November 2, 2004. His games were 289, 289, 279. This set is currently 24th high in the State of Minnesota. His high league average was 233.59.

 

 


Lois E. Disch

Meritorious Service

 

Lois started sanctioned competition at 10 years old when she joined and AJBC League. She became a member of the Minneapolis Women’s Bowling Association as soon as she advanced from juniors. She has competed in 35 City and Minnesota State Tournaments and she has competed in 34 National Tournaments. Lois has also served as a Delegate to the State and National Conventions for over 15 years. Lois worked as an assistant to Rosy Vigness and Anne Edwards and she served as secretary for 11 years. She has served as a Director in the Minneapolis Women’s Bowling Association for 25 years. She was the chairperson of the scorekeepers for numerous Minneapolis and State Bowling tournaments and she was a scorekeeper at many men’s and special tournaments in the area. Lois has donated her time to help with Special Olympics, All-Star Elimination and the National Coca-Cola Tournaments. In addition she served the bowlers directly by being secretary of the Pinsetters Paradise League for 19 years. The committees she has been involved with are as follows: Nominating (City, State and Youth), Legislative, Audit, BVL, Lane Certification, State Credentials, Budget, Youth Audit, Awards, Sportsmanship, Suspension and Tournament Committee for the City, State and Seniors.

She has coached each week for over 20 years. Lois is currently serving the Minneapolis USBC as a Director and she is a Junior Representative to the Minnesota State USBC.

 

Lois has bowled several 600 series and had a high game over 250 and a high average of 180. She currently bowls in three leagues.

 


Eva H. Wick

Memorial

 

1/31/1904 – 1/1/1997

 

Eva served the Minneapolis Women’s Bowling Association as Vice President from 1939-40 thru 1943-44. She served a term as President 1944-45 and went on to serve as secretary for 6 years from 1945-46 thru 1950-51. She was also a very accomplished bowler. In the 1954-55 season (October 2, 1954) Eva won a city award for the high series in league with a 654. She was a life member of the WIBC.
